Harvey Weinstein and the board of his now-bankrupt studio have reached a tentative settlement with his accusers. One accused details the settlement, saying that Weinstein’s associates, directors and officers have negotiated nearly all of his pending civil cases, allocating $25 million to the dozens of women who have accused him of sexual misconduct. Under the deal, which still has to be approved by judges, Weinstein would not have to admit to any wrongdoings or pay his accusers directly. Instead, Weinstein Co.’s insurance would pay some of the money.

Weinstein also underwent back surgery on Thursday (12/12/19) after being seen entering the courtroom with an aid of a walker. According to TMZ, the surgery reportedly went well and Weinstein is now recovering. He will be back in court on January 6th for his criminal trial.
